Georgia STABLE/Path2College Matching Scholarships Awarded to 92 Children with Disabilities

The Georgia ABLE Program Corporation (GAPC) and the Georgia Higher Education Savings Plan (GHESP) boards are excited to announce the overwhelming success of the Georgia STABLE/Path2College Matching Scholarship Program. In a demonstration to empower individuals with disabilities, we proudly awarded 92 eligible Georgians, totaling $187,000.

The Georgia 529 ABLE Plan (Georgia STABLE) and Georgia’s Path2College 529 Savings Plan (P2C) joined forces to offer matching scholarships up to $ 2,500 to eligible children with disabilities who applied for the matching scholarship.

The matching scholarships were awarded to both new and existing Georgia STABLE account owners on a first-come, first-served basis. To be eligible to receive a matching scholarship, applicants needed to open or have a Georgia STABLE account for ABLE-eligible beneficiaries aged 18 and under.
